FINAL REMINDER - 2011 CONVENTION Delegates to the 2011 convention need to have their credentials post-marked no later than May 27, 2011 to be seated with full voice and vote. Any credentials after that date will be processed as a Fraternal delegate and will not have a vote. If you have misplaced your credentials they can be downloaded from our web site at www.idahoafl-cio.org A BLOCK OF ROOMS AT THE RATE OF $81 PER NIGHT HAS BEEN RESERVED AT RED LION HOTEL, 621 21ST STREET, LEWISTON, ID 83501. RESERVATIONS CAN BE MADE BY CALLING 1-800-232-6730. PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELVES AS MEMBERS OF THE IDAHO STATE AFL-CIO. ALSO, PLEASE NOTIFY THE HOTEL IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR SERVERAL ROOMS ON ONE CREDIT CARD. THIS WILL EXPEDITE YOUR CHECK-IN PROCESS. NOTES: Fraternal Delegates and Guests are always welcome. If you plan on bringing a Guest or attending as a Fraternal Delegate please notify this office as soon as possible. This will expedite the registration process on Sunday and Monday. Vice President Rian VanLeuven has put together a clay shoot on Sunday morning, June 12. The shoot will be held at the Colton Gun Club located approximately 20 minutes from the convention hotel. The cost is $30 and you will need to provide your own firearm and shells. If you are interested please contact Rian at (208) 790-0987 or by email at vanrie@cableone.net. The Presidents Hospitality Room will open at 6:00 pm on Sunday evening. A Presidents Pin will be required for admittance. The Lewiston/Clarkston Central Trades & Labor Council will host a picnic on Monday evening at Pioneer Park. Transportation to the park will be provided. Ask a Working Woman will sponsor lunch on Monday, June 13, at a cost of $20 per person. Representative Shirley Ringo will be the guest speaker. Tuesday evening, June 14 an awards banquet will be held. Cocktails will start at 6:30 pm and dinner will begin at 7:30 pm. Additional guest tickets can be purchased at a cost of $35 per person. Directly following the banquet will be a COPE casino night. Admission is $20 which buys you $1000 of gambling money. A cash bar will also be available. |
